The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 Review

Star Cast: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Mackenzie Foy, Michael Sheen.

What’s Good: The music; the action in the climax; that the franchise finally ends.

What’s Bad: The mediocre performances; the boring story.

Watch or Not?: If you are a fan of the Twilight series, here’s the final part that will put at ease. If not, save your money.

Let’s face it; Twilight is the Hollywood equivalent of Salman Khan: makes truckloads of money, scoffs at basic intellect, acting etc. and you can’t wait for the shirt to come off.

The final instalment of the Twilight saga goes in line with the rest of the movies and finally puts an end to Bella’s seemingly difficult struggle between her vampire boyfriend-husband and werewolf friend. Or something like that.

For those who’ve come late, here’s a quick recap of what happened in the four previous films. An ordinary teenager Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) falls in love with (she later finds out) a vampire, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). But there’s a hot werewolf, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), who loves her as well and is always by her side. Much to Jacob’s protests, Bella decides to marry Edward, but the Volturi (a coven of powerful vampires) insist that Bella must be turned to a vampire soon. In the last movie, Bella was pregnant with her child and on hanging on to her dear life at childbirth. In order to save her, Edward turns her to a vampire.

Finally a vampire, Bella is now sharper and even looks sexier with her smouldering eyes. She quenches her newfound thirst for blood, tests her super-speed, heightened senses and other vampire powers. When Bella sees her baby, Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy), the infant, who’s just a few days old, already has teeth. Bella and Edward’s baby is a curious mix of vampire and human who grows at an unnatural rate. If that isn’t enough to confuddle the newly-turned vampire, Jacob confesses that he has “imprinted” her (Jacob is Renesmee’s soul mate).

While Bella is getting used to her child’s speedy growth, another vampire mistakes Renesmee to be an “immortal child” and brings in the ruthless Volturi to rid the child.

Will Bella and Edward save their child? How will they do it? Does Jacob’s love survive? Will this franchise finally end? Yes.

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll born February 2, 1977),[4] known mononymously as Shakira is a Colombian singer-songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer and model who emerged in the music scene of Colombia and Latin America in the early 1990s. Born and raised in Barranquilla, Shakira began performing in school, demonstrating her vocal ability with rock and roll, Latin and Arabic influences with her own original twist on belly dancing. Shakira is a native Spanish speaker who speaks fluent English and Portuguese, as well as some Italian, French, and Catalan.

After a poor commercial reception with local producers on her first two albums, and being little-known outside Colombia, Shakira decided to produce her own brand of music. In 1995 she released Pies Descalzos, which brought her to prominence in Latin America and Spain; her 1998 album, Dónde Están los Ladrones?, was a critical success selling over 7 million copies worldwide.
In 2001, aided by the worldwide success of her first English single "Whenever, Wherever" that became the best selling single of 2002, she broke through into the English-speaking world with the release of Laundry Service, which sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Four years later, Shakira released two album projects called Fijación Oral Vol. 1 and Oral Fixation Vol. 2. Both reinforced her success, particularly with the best selling song of the 2000s, "Hips Don't Lie". In 1997, Shakira founded the Pies Descalzos Foundation. It is a Colombian charity with special schools for poor children all around Colombia. During her career, Shakira has performed at a large number of benefit concerts. Among the most famous are the Live 8 benefit concert in July 2005, the Live Earth concert, Hamburg where she headlined the show, as well as the "Clinton Global Initiative" created by former US President Bill Clinton. She was also invited to the Oval Office by President Barack Obama in February 2010 to discuss early childhood development.

Shakira has won many awards including five MTV Video Music Awards, two Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, seven Billboard Music Award, twenty-eight Billboard Latin Music Awards and has been Golden Globe-nominated. She already received her own star for Hollywood Walk Of Fame[14] She is also the highest-selling Colombian artist of all time, and the second most successful female Latin singer behind Gloria Estefan, having sold between 50 to more 60 million albums. Her U.S. album sales stand at 9.9 million. In the fall of 2009, Shakira released her sixth studio album She Wolf worldwide gaining a lot of critical praise for her eccentricity and writing skills. The album sold roughly 2 million copies around the world.Shakira's "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)", was chosen as the official song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The song has received generally positive critical reception, and has become a worldwide hit and the biggest selling World Cup song of all time.[24] On YouTube, the English version of the music video is the 5th most watched video of all time with over 500 million views. When she released her seventh studio album, the bilingual Sale el Sol in October 2010, she gained back her Latin following, which Shakira described as being the main goal for the album. The album has sold over 4 million copies worldwide.[26] Since 2009, Shakira's musical career suffered from a strained relationship with her label Epic Records, which resulted in lack of promotion and investment from Epic Records towards her two latter studio albums She Wolf (2009) and Sale el Sol (2010).

Emma Watson Wants To Sail With Noah She's in talks to play Ila

Like a rising tide of thesping, the flow of casting announcements for Darren Aronofsky’s Noah is increasing each day. The latest performer haggling for a ticket to ride the boat is Emma Watson.

With Russell Crowe long set to play the title role, word arrived earlier this week that Percy Jackson’s Logan Lerman and Great Expectations’ Douglas Booth were signing on to play Noah’s sons, Ham and Shem.

Deadline reports that if she signs a deal, Watson will be Ila, a young woman who starts a relationship with Shem. And talking of casting, there still appears to be no confirmation yet on whether Jennifer Connelly will play Noah’s wife. Variety has heard that Julianne Moore is also in conention for that role, while Liev Schreiber might be the man to play the nemesis for our boat-building hero. Sadly, that probably doesn't mean he'll be an officious sort down at Ancient B&Q who refuses to give Noah a good deal on lumber.

With a script by Aronofsky and Hugo writer John Logan, Noah is scheduled to start shooting in New York and Iceland at the start of August.

Watson has been a busy woman of late. She’ll appear alongside Lerman in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (which is still awaiting a UK release date) and has recently shot The Bling Ring. Right now, she’s working on The End Of The World with Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel and a bucket load of cameos.
